Terms of Being a Gnomean Minister

Welcome to the Terms of Being a Gnomean Minister!

Congratulations on taking the first step toward becoming an ordained Gnomean Minister! Before you embark on this exciting journey with us, let’s go over a few important details to ensure that you’re fully prepared for the role.

Age Requirement:

To join our esteemed ranks as a Gnomean Minister, you must be 18 years of age or older. We believe in upholding legal standards and ensuring that our ministers are equipped to handle the responsibilities that come with this sacred role.

Responsibilities and Commitments:

As a Gnomean Minister, you will be entrusted with officiating significant life events and upholding the values of our community. This includes cherishing all Gnomekind, abiding by the Gnomean Principles, and adhering to the Doctrine of Weddings and Matrimony. Your dedication to these principles is essential to maintaining the integrity of our ministry.

Legal Considerations:

It’s important to note that every country and local jurisdiction has its own laws regarding ordained ministers. While we are legally established as an organization in the USA, it is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with the legal requirements in your area. This ensures that your ordainment is recognized and valid within your locality.

Documentation:

While digital credentials are convenient, physical documentation often holds more weight in official ceremonies. We strongly recommend obtaining physical proof of your ordination, such as an Ordination Certificate and an Ordination Card. These documents serve as tangible evidence of your status as an ordained minister and may be required for certain legal proceedings.

Speaking for Yourself, Not the Whole Flock:
Remember, being a Gnomean Minister doesn't grant you the power to speak or act on behalf of the entire Church of Gnome. Your role is sacred and personal – a guide for your own journey and actions, not a megaphone for official church policies or positions. Think of it as being a beacon of Gnomean light, shining on your own path and inspiring others by example, not as an official spokesperson with a Gnomean bullhorn.

Mailing Lists and SMS Lists:

By submitting the form to become ordained through our website, you consent to being added to our mailing list/SMS list for members of the Church of Gnome, a mailing list/SMS list specific for our Ministers, and our Gnomean Proverbs mailing list/SMS list. You can easily opt out of any of these lists at any time by following the links/instructions provided in each message. NOTE: Upon submitting your Ordainment Form, you will receive an automated email verifying your Ordainment, unsubscribing from that confirmation email will not unsubscribe you from the lists named above.

Terms are subject to change at our discretion at any time

Welcome to the Gnomean Ministry, and enjoy your journey spreading joy and wisdom as an ordained Gnomean Minister!
